Archipelago Wide (sea) The Pacific seahorse is one of the largest seahorse species in the Eastern Pacific. It has a horse-like head, elongated snout, bony body rings, and a curled prehensile tail that it uses to hold onto algae, mangrove roots, corals, or rocky structures. In Galapagos, it can be found in sheltered coastal habitats, though it is not commonly seen compared with more iconic marine species.
